The Romanian U21 national football team won 3-0 in the match against Ukraine U21, from the European Championship preliminaries. The goals of the match played in the stadium in Ploiești were scored by Olimpiu Moruțan and Adrian Petre, twice, according to Mediafax news agency.
Selector Mirel Rădoi sent an offensive team on the field, in a 4-3-3 system. Our national team started off well, but failed to score, although George Ganea and Denis Drăguș had some important opportunities. However, Romania showed much better after the break, when it scored three times. The first success came after 75 minutes when Olimpiu Moruțan came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 75 minutes.
The second success came also after a cross from Valentin Mihăilă’s right side, for Adrian Petre (minute 80); the latter had been introduced to the field four minutes earlier. The same Petre also set the final score, in the 90 + 4 minute, after a blow in the defense of Ukraine. We are yet to see any merchandise available for supporters of Romania U21 team.

Romania’s under-21s national team defeated similar representative of Northern Ireland on Monday night, 3-0, on the “Anghel Iordănescu” Stadium in Voluntari, in the EURO 2021 preliminaries.
Northern Ireland evolved in numerical inferiority from the 38th minute. Dennis Man was well into the depths, but collided with goalkeeper Conor Hazard near the big box. The two spent about three minutes on the lawn, receiving medical care.
In the 48th minute, Tudor Băluţă scored for 1-0, after a confusing match in Northern Ireland. Adrian Petre twice tried to shoot towards the goal, but he sent in the block, and the ball reached the player of Brighton & Hove Albion, who sent in the net, after the ball hit the bar initially.
In the 59th minute, Valentin Mihăilă received the inside of the box from Dennis Man, Oaidă let the ball pass, and the University of Craiova player shot hard, managing to make it 2-0.
The final score was set in the 67th minute, when Andrei Ciobanu scored for 3-0. FC Viitorul’s Adrian Petre was in the box and shot to the far corner, defeating the goalkeeper from Northern Ireland.
For Romania U21 was the second consecutive victory in the preliminary 3-0, after the one obtained in Ploiesti on Thursday against Ukraine.
After three matches played in Group 8 qualification at the European Championship in 2021, Romania U21 ranks third, with six points. In first place is Denmark, winner of the three matches played.

At the final tournament in Hungary and Slovenia they will get the qualification of the nine group winners and the best second place. The remaining eight second places will play a dam.
At the previous European U21 Championship, played this year, Romania reached the semifinals stage, where it was defeated by Germany, score 2-4. Following this achievement, the national team prepared by Mirel Rădoi obtained the qualification at the 2020 Olympic Games.
